Violin Lesson 1 – Changing The Violin Strings

By Liz, July 14, 2009 1:23 pm

I felt it appropriate that this should be the first lesson as when I pulled my violin out of it’s case the other day I found that two of the strings had snapped. It can be quite a tricky process and I haven’t seen it covered much online so I though it would be a great start to a few lessons and help you get an understanding of the violin.

    Hey Lizzie
I’m a guitarist just starting out on violin….crappy violinist but the best guitarist !! Could you give a talk on the bow and demonstrate achieving a worthy sound, also too much rosin verse not enough rosin. Perhaps you could demonstrate by playing scales. Also would be nice to hear you play. Lots of questions to ask you but I guess I better save that for another day.

    All the best

    Hi Johnny

I will post a video very soon on the use of rosin and will demonstrate the use of the bow. If it helps i will write an article on it as well.
Feel free to ask as many questions as you want and I will do my best to answer them, post a video or/and write articles on those subjects.

    Thankyou for writing to me.

    All the best

    Lizzie Jenkins
